Getting there and getting around

Start with the correct airport

Beijing’s official service portal provides separate arrival guides for Capital Airport and Daxing Airport. The Capital guide identifies airport express trains, airport buses and car services, and describes assistance with transport tickets at the Beijing Service airport counter. Use the guide for the airport printed on your booking. Before choosing accommodation, map the onward journey to the actual clinic campus, not simply to a central Beijing landmark. Keep your arrival terminal and the hospital’s Chinese address together. A suitable airport connection can still leave a substantial final transfer, particularly when traveling with luggage or needing step-free access.

Scope: Capital Airport passenger transport and the Beijing Service counter; check current operations.

Plan Daxing independently

The Daxing guide lists airport buses, railway services and other ground-transport options. It also points visitors to the airport service counter for help obtaining transport tickets. Treat that page as a separate starting point from the Capital Airport guide: an airport name on a map is not enough to choose a train or meeting place. Compare the final stop with your hotel and clinic before deciding how to continue. For a late arrival, check the operator’s current last departure and keep an alternative transfer plan. Do not schedule a consultation solely around the flight’s advertised landing time.

How care is organized here

Use Beijing’s municipal entry point

The municipal medical guide brings together ordinary appointment information and separate international medical services. It identifies the English International Service Beijing interface for the Beijing 114 appointment platform. This is a useful official starting point for checking available departments; it is not confirmation that a particular appointment, doctor or language service will be available. When you contact an institution, name the campus, service tier and reason for the enquiry. Ask whether your records can be reviewed before travel and which channel accepts your identity document. Keep the institution’s reply with the appointment details rather than relying on a general city listing.

Scope: Municipal appointment orientation; individual departments and insurer agreements require confirmation.

A hospital can have separate service and billing routes Check regulatory record

PUMCH’s outpatient notice illustrates why the department matters. It distinguishes ordinary and special outpatient services from international services, including different arrangements for commercial-insurance registration. Its ordinary fee table also separates the full charge from the contribution payable by eligible Beijing-insured patients. Our Beijing price references therefore identify the full ordinary fee and show international sessions separately. Before accepting a quote, ask which service you are entering and whether you are being quoted a consultation alone or additional tests. A hospital’s participation in an insurer network does not establish that your own policy, department and planned care are covered.

Scope: Hospital-published notice for its own services; not a rule for every Beijing institution.

Health screening

Check the screening service’s own appointment route

A municipal notice describes online screening appointments at Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, covering several types of examinations through the hospital’s own channels. It is an example of a public hospital organizing screening separately from a specialist consultation. Decide whether you need a preventive checkup, a targeted assessment or a certificate before contacting the center. Ask for the complete item list, arrangements for any separately booked tests, report delivery and a discussion of results. For comparison, this site links published Beijing packages below their relevant price tier. A package title alone does not establish that its tests suit your circumstances.

Scope: April 2026 notice for this hospital’s screening service, not a citywide booking guarantee.

Certificate examinations have a different destination

Beijing’s official travel-health listing distinguishes entry examinations at the Customs-affiliated center’s Haidian location from exit and immigration examinations at its Dongcheng location. That distinction matters when a school, employer or immigration process requests a particular certificate. Confirm the issuing authority, appointment location and documents with the relevant office before reserving a general hospital checkup. A privately purchased screening report may not meet that office’s requirements. Conversely, a certificate examination should not be assumed to address every preventive-health question you have. Keep certificate administration and any separate clinical enquiry as two clearly described requests when arranging your visit.

Scope: The Customs-affiliated center’s entry, exit and immigration examinations; confirm the required certificate and current location.

Before making travel arrangements

Contact the institution to confirm whether it can handle your enquiry, the appointment process, language support and an itemized estimate. A directory entry is not a booking or a clinical recommendation.
