Guangzhou’s official Terminal 3 guide distinguishes metro access from the intercity railway. It describes reaching T3 by a shuttle from Gaozeng, or by intercity train from the T2 station to Baiyun Airport East at T3. These are not interchangeable station names. Use the guide’s route choices to plan the first leg of your journey, then check the current airport instructions for your arrival day. For a medical visit in Panyu, Tianhe or another district, compare the full route to the campus rather than assuming an airport train ends near your appointment. Arrange a meeting point with its terminal and floor.

Check airline moves before arranging a pickup
The municipality’s January 2026 update records changes to the planned relocation of flights between Baiyun terminals. That is a practical reason to verify the terminal on your airline’s latest notice, even if you have used Guangzhou Airport before. Send the confirmed flight and terminal to anyone meeting you and agree how you will contact each other after arrival. The earlier T3 guide describes inter-terminal transport, but its opening-period timings should not determine a tightly scheduled consultation. Allow for baggage, airport formalities and an onward transfer. If returning through a different terminal, plan that departure as a separate journey.
Scope: January 2026 changes to airline terminal allocations; confirm your own flight’s terminal.

How care is organized here
Check the district and the licensed institution
Guangzhou’s Health Commission portal separates hospital categories, district hospital information, community services and licensed-institution queries. It includes facilities licensed by different government authorities within the city. Use those records to check an institution’s identity and location, not as a league table. A familiar university or hospital name can still refer to more than one campus. Before selecting a hotel, ask which campus and department would handle your enquiry. Also distinguish ordinary outpatient care from any separately organized international or special service. The portal establishes an official information route; it does not verify an individual clinic’s language support or appointment availability.
Scope: Official service portal with hospital categories, district information and licensing lists; not a clinical ranking.

Guangzhou Health Link supports passport registration
The city’s unified appointment platform lists passports among its supported identity documents and identifies its official website, Guangzhou Health Link channels and other municipal appointment routes. This makes it a useful place to check ordinary appointments without starting from an intermediary’s advertisement. Registration support is not a promise that every hospital service appears in the platform. Ask the institution whether your intended department uses this route or a separate international-service channel, and how it handles passport details and contact information. Confirm the appointment’s own cancellation and arrival instructions. Use the linked official rules for operational details rather than a copied sequence that may become outdated.
Scope: Official registration channels and supported identity documents; hospital-specific arrangements still apply.

Health screening
Screening arrangements differ between campuses
The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University publishes separate Tianhe and Luogang screening instructions. The Tianhe section distinguishes individual checkups, group examinations and employment or school examinations; it also explains that some imaging requires separate reservations. The Luogang section likewise identifies tests that need advance arrangements. This is a concrete example of why a general outpatient appointment is not the same thing as a completed checkup booking. Ask the screening center about the campus, identity registration, proposed test list and any second visit before making travel plans. Follow personalized preparation instructions from the clinical team rather than adapting another person’s package.
Scope: Hospital-published Tianhe and Luogang screening instructions; confirm current arrangements directly.
Guangzhou also has institution-published screening packages. The Clifford example linked from our price page includes a detailed component list, but its source is a historical offer. Use that level of detail as a comparison checklist: which examinations, collection materials, report and discussion are included, and which require another charge or appointment? Ask for the current version in writing. The local public-hospital instructions separately describe report collection and arrangements that depend on the tests performed. Leave time to obtain and discuss results before departure. A longer checklist or a higher price does not establish that a package is appropriate for your needs.
